ecoSwitch: empowering consumers to shop more sustainably

The George Institute has developed a method for estimating the greenhouse gas emissions of packaged foods to support the development of a more sustainable food supply. A simple rating system converts these estimates into an easy-to-understand Planetary Health Rating (from 0.5 to 5 stars), which is integrated into the ecoSwitch smartphone app. ecoSwitch empowers consumers to identify products with a lower impact on the planet.
