2024 World Health Summit Regional Meeting
Each year, the World Health Summit in Berlin is complemented by a Regional Meeting to bring regional issues and opportunities to the fore. We will have the opportunity to elevate the health needs of people across Asia and the Pacific this year. The George Institute for Global Health is proudly a sponsor of this year's event, the 2024 World Health Summit Regional Meeting 22 - 24 April in Melbourne, Australia hosted by Monash University. With an expected 1,000+ participants from diverse cultures, disciplines, and sectors across our region, this three day meeting will see participants exchange knowledge, catalyse new partnerships, inspire new research opportunities, and shape policies that will have far-reaching impacts on health systems and health outcomes.
Participants will be challenged to consider the questions: What would it take to achieve and sustain better health and wellbeing for people in the Asia-Pacific over the next 5-10 years? What are the strengths to build on? And what are the systems that need to change or evolve?
