Virtual Session 1: Knowledge Gaps around Primary Health Care Quality & Performance Management
The Primary Health Care Research Consortium (PHCRC) is a research network led by reputed international organizations with its secretariat hosted at the George Institute for Global Health, India. The research consortium promotes evidence generation, knowledge exchange and capacity building through south-south cooperation to reduce the research to policy gap in primary health care overall for efficient policymaking in low- and middle-income countries.
The PHCRC is organizing its first ever webinar series titled Scaling New Frontiers in Primary Health Care Through Research and Partnership. The webinar series will have multiple sub themes and topics on which virtual sessions will be held in the coming months.
The first in the webinar series is Knowledge Gaps around Primary Health Care Quality and Performance Management scheduled for the 19th of November 2020 at 05:30 PM IST.
Experts from Primary Health Care Performance Initiative (PHCPI); Primary Care and Family Medicine Network for Sub-Saharan Africa (PRIMAFAMED); and American University of Beirut (AUB) will share their knowledge on the factors that have been conducive or obstructive for primary health care and how future policies can be shaped to mitigate the existing gaps.
The session will also have a breakout session to have more discussions around the importance of research questions identified by the consortium on the knowledge and evidence gap of performance measurement and management in primary healthcare systems in low-income and middle-income countries.
Discussants for the first virtual session are:
