The George Institute for Global Health announces new collaboration with CUHK to transform health in China

The George Institute for Global Health has announced a new collaboration with The Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK) focusing on the health impact agenda in the Guangdong – Hong Kong – Macau Greater Bay Area (GBA), China and around the world.

Initially this will see The George Institute and CUHK collaborating for an initial period of twelve months with a focus on neurodegenerative disease, mental health, multimorbidity, health economics, primary care, trauma and injury.

The George Institute and CUHK will collaborate on joint research, clinical trials, advocacy for health care systems, and utilising their combined expertise to reduce the top disease burdens in the GBA and beyond.

The Chinese University of Hong Kong is a forward-looking comprehensive research university with a global vision and a mission to combine tradition with modernity, and to bring together China and the West. CUHK also has a campus and a research institute located in Shenzhen. The George Institute has been active in China since 2004 with an office located in Beijing and an extensive network of hospital partners around the nation. New collaborations with CUHK will see The George Institute focus on the rapidly emerging GBA and linked opportunities in Guangdong Province with Hong Kong’s dynamic biotechnology and research ecosystem.
