Professor Elizabeth Elliott AM recognised for shaping the future of Australia
Professor Elizabeth Elliott AM has been recognised as one of Australia's Women of Influence for her advocacy work in children's health and is among 100 women commended by The Australian Financial Review and Westpac for helping shape a bold and diverse future for Australia.
Over the years Professor Elliott has been volunteering in numerous capacities in Australia and Vietnam to help provide better health outcomes for children disadvantaged by limited access to adequate healthcare or having a rare disease, like HIV, AIDS or Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorders.
Professor Elliott is part of The George Institute's Marulu project team which is collaborating with Aboriginal communities to diagnose and prevent Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorders in the Fitzroy Valley, Western Australia. She is an Honorary Professorial Fellow at The George Institute, a Paediatrician at The Children's Hospital Westmead and a Professor of Paediatrics and Child Health at The University of Sydney.
