Brendan Smyth is a PhD candidate through the school of Public Health at The University of Sydney and a practicing nephrologist at Miranda, NSW. His research is directed towards improving clinical outcomes and quality of life in end-stage kidney disease. He is involved in the analysis of the ACTIVE Dialysis trial of extended hours dialysis and in the development of the RESOLVE trial of lowered dialysate sodium.
