Professor Jonathan Golledge
Jonathan Golledge is Distinguished Professor of Vascular Surgery at James Cook University and pre-eminent Staff Specialist in Vascular Surgery at The Townsville University Hospital in Queensland Australia. He is an NHMRC Practitioner Fellow.
He trained in medicine at Cambridge University in the UK and then in vascular surgery at multiple hospitals in the UK and Australia and is a fellow of the Australian and New Zealand Society for Vascular Surgery. He completed a Cambridge MChir at Imperial College. In 2002 he established and has since directed the Queensland Research Centre for Peripheral Vascular Disease which aims to improve understanding and treatment of vascular diseases. He is the current Queensland representative for the Australian Atherosclerosis Society’s Clinical Council and a member of the steering committee for Diabetes Foot Australia and Queensland Cardiovascular Network and has also represented the Asian-Pacific Society of Atherosclerosis and Vascular Disease in guidelines for peripheral artery disease.
