Dr Lei Si
Senior Research Fellow - Health Economics and Health Systems Research
Dr Lei Si is a Senior Research Fellow in Health Economics and Health Systems Research at The George Institute for Global Health and a Conjoint Senior Lecturer at UNSW Medicine. He is a current NHMRC Early Career Fellow. He worked as a Research Fellow at Menzies Institute for Medical Research of University of Tasmania (2016-2018) and a Senior Research Fellow at the Macquarie University's Centre for the Health Economy (2018).
Dr Lei Si undertakes research in health economic evaluations in chronic diseases, e.g. osteoporosis, diabetes, obesity, etc. In addition, he works on equity of health financing and benefit of government subsidy on health in China. His work also includes patient preference using discrete choice experiment. Dr Lei Si has been involved in conducting evaluations of submissions to the Pharmaceutical Benefits Advisory Committee (PBAC).
