Health Services Research Centre
Health services and systems research is an increasingly important domain of research for the George Institute. The Health Services Research Centre serves as a new hub for these research projects. We work with a variety of stakeholders in health including funders, providers and consumers of healthcare to conduct research which aims to improve the quality, accessibility and affordability for all Australians.
The Centre works across different chronic disease content areas in community, primary and acute care sectors and has a particular focus on innovation and technology. As such, our partners include a range of commercial organisations who are leaders in telecommunications, insurance and information technology as well as government and advocacy groups. The research conducted by the Centre comprises both academic (investigated initiated) and commissioned research and draws on the expertise of staff across the broader Institute working including health economics, quantitative and qualitative research.
